Sometimes you have to think like one in order to outsmart a thieves. Most thieves are in a rush. They want to get into the area, get the loot quick, and get out as quickly as possible. It doesn’t matter if they think this way already, so make it easy. Decoys are the best way to accomplish this.
Here are the decoys used by precious metals IRA in gold to lure you to their products.
Let’s imagine that most of your metals are kept in a “real” secure place, somewhere around your house or property. While you know where your most valuable stash is, thieves don’t.
If thieves are unable to find something, they might continue looking until they find it. So what do you do?
Look in a discount retailer to find the smallest safes at the lowest price. It should be easy to grab and take with you. You can keep these safes in an obvious location, like the master bedroom closet or the study.
Put some cash, silver, and/or gold in the safe to make it easy for the thiefs to find it. So it can be believed, the more you have the safer you should place cash and metals.
The concept of giving a little is to keep a lot.
If you don’t have the funds to pay for it, place a little cash in the safe. You could also put pennies, nickels, and dimes inside. To give the safe weight and to make it appear that your metals are there, you can put pennies, nickels, dimes, etc. in it. I have heard of people buying fake gold and silver coins online to put in the safe. It’s actually a good idea. The more natural you can make it look the better.
If they believe they have found your stash, they should be happy to leave. Most thieves will follow the path least likely to get their hands on your stuff. If they feel that they are lucky enough to find it in a short amount of time, they may be happy to simply take the safe and move on.
You can think of this as insurance. It means you are willing give up a portion to protect the larger amount. It is smart to do this and it can be a useful part of your overall storage strategy.
People sometimes ask me: “What do I do if a bad man holds a firearm on me and demands that he tell me where my loot? Should I just tell them the location of my little decoy safe or tell them everything?
That is a very serious concern.
Unfortunately, this is the only answer. I can confirm this. Let’s just hope this does not happen to us. However, if it does then, we can always remember this.
You don’t get to see all the gold or silver in the world.
There is no greater price than your life. While things can be easily replaced, your life cannot.
When they find themselves in a real situation, no one can predict how they’ll react. Sometimes all of the planning you do may just be useless when faced with actual circumstances.
